South Asia’s first-of-its-kind infotainment project ‘Media Tree’ in Racecourse is opened for public use. This potential smart system has been designed and executed by KCP Infra Limited. While various smart city projects are underway in Coimbatore, the 10-metre-tall ‘Media Tree Iconic spot garners a lot of public attention. Inbetween the authenticity of the racecourse area and peaceful atmosphere, Indian Made Eiffel Tower has been constructed by KCP Infra. Speaking about the uniqueness of the Media Tree Project, Managing director of KCP Infra Limited, K.Chandra Prakash quoted, “Media Tree will put Coimbatore on the global tourism map”. It will be a pride and iconic platform for people to advertise their business. He also shared the salient features of the structure stating the Media Tree possess a height of 30 meters, with a perimeter of the display area at 8.70 meters and a width of 1.8 meters.
The media tree was equipped with Sloped LED screen technology for the First time in Asia similar to that of the famous Gardens by the Bay’ park in Singapore. With 8K technology and live broadcasting technology features, awareness announcements, corporation announcements, advertisements and videos can be broadcasted. It will be operated from a control room that will get set up at RS Puram for the purpose of government announcements and broadcasts.
With advanced technology features, it can be controlled remotely. Apart from that, KCP Infra designed the commercial view more interactive and responsive with 360-degree Curved LED panel split display screen, billboard with 5,000 LED NODES, and a million color contrast technology. A FLICKERING EFFECT is also used like the Eiffel Tower in Paris. As the advertisement enquiries started receiving, officials informed that the charges will vary according to the time slot. It has been designed to operate on its own with an integrated command and control centre. Once technical work is completed, rates will be fixed and the revenue will be used to maintain the amenities.
