Ready-Mix Concrete solutions supplier meets many construction needs. Ready-mix Concrete is a mixture of cement, aggregates, water and admixtures. KCP works continuously to develop a wide range of innovative solutions for the uses of concrete.
Exposed aggregate concrete has a type of surface appearance where the coarse or fine aggregate portion of the concrete matrix has been exposed at the surface. The principle method for exposing the aggregate on the surface is to apply a retardant to the concrete’s surface, wait the prescribed amount of time and wash the paste from the surface with water. Other methods such as sand blasting, bead blasting, or acid etching can also be used to produce the desired effect. Exposed aggregate concrete is most commonly used for outdoor applications such as pavements, sidewalks and large pedestrian hardscape areas.
Integrally pigmented concrete is produced when a coloring agent, usually iron oxide based pigment, is added to the concrete and thoroughly mixed, producing a uniform color throughout the concrete. Colored pigments can also be casted on the surface of a concrete slab as well to produce a desired color. For integrally pigmented concrete, uniform color throughout the concrete is obtained. Colored concrete is delivered ready to be placed and finished at the project site after the colored pigment has been added at the batch plant.
